The one song that is going to be stuck in almost every Indian’s head for the next two months “Aayenge Hum Wapas”. It is going to be the anthem for Dream IPL 2020 and will be on the hums of every cricket lover in India. Now we know that the IPL festive Season has begun, and we couldn’t be more excited.  It seems like IPL 2020 is going to bring some positive energy and entertainment that we so desperately need at this point of time.

‘Indian Premier league’ is the best T20 Franchise league in the world. It was the pioneer of many unique and eccentric awards like, Best catch of the Tournament, Maximum Sixes award, Fair play award, etc. One of the top awards as such is the ‘Orange Cap’ which is given to the highest run-scorer of the tournament.

IPL is one of those tournaments where we can see batsmen put up giant totals over the scoresheet competing head on head with each other. Ever since the beginning of IPL we have seen many legends grace the Orange Cap with their win. Shaun Marsh was the winner of the first ‘Orange Cap’ (IPL 2008) and then we saw Sachin Tendulkar win it in IPL 2010. The very following year we saw Chris Gayle smash the scoresheet with his incredible batting and win the Orange Cap.

The Dream IPL 2020 is going to bring a heated competition between World Class Players. The obvious contenders as predicted are Virat Kohli and Rohith Sharma who never fail to produce top quality innings. Then we have KL Rahul who only got better after joining National team and has proven to have a fantastic form.

On the very top of the list we have ‘David warner’ who is the first Batsman to win the Orange Cap thrice. Expectations can’t get any bigger from SRH fans as well as many IPL fans who can’t wait to see him knock the ball out of the park.

These are the players whom we can count on to be the potential winners of the Orange Cap. But then again, we could be in for a surprise just like how Robin Uthappa came out of nowhere and mesmerised everyone with his innings and backed the Award in 2014. We also cannot write off players like Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler who put up some promising innings in the previous seasons. Let us wait and see if the history is going to repeat itself of it’s going to be made.
